'She was asking for it' INSTALLATION (2020)
In this installation I connect the age-old Medusa myth with contemporary victim blaming narratives. The 12 female figures in this installation represent all anonymous women who were at one time subjected to victim blaming.
The installation includes stained glass components telling the Medusa story and 12 women's glass heads on pedestals made of Corten steel.
This installation has been selected to participate in the curated section of the European Glass Context in Bornholm, Denmark, (september 2021).
This installation can be adapted to the spatial conditions of a specific site.
